Vancouver Fishing Charters

Picture yourself on a boat, next to majestic mountains over calm, tranquil waters when suddenly, a line sings, and a reel screams and the deck erupts with shouting. You grasp the rod and your eyes go wide, as adrenaline pumps through your veins. You’ve never encountered anything like this before. You muscle the beast to the boat. You hold it in your arms like living gold, pictures are snapped, and your mind, like the line, is still reeling.

Nothing compares to catching a Coho: The greatest fighter of all salmon. It’s a life-changing experience, a rite of passage, and a tale you will tell to your grandchildren. And when fishing in Vancouver, there are bigger prizes too. Our Vancouver fishing charters angle for all five wild Pacific salmon, including Chinooks reaching 30 lb and the occasional 50 lb slab! No matter what your skill level, we can provide a challenge, or an introduction to the exciting sport of Vancouver salmon fishing. If the season is right, we'll also drop a couple crab traps to diversify your haul for the day. It’s an unforgettable outing for kids from nine to ninety.

Our guides are knowledgeable of the area, handy with a point-and-shoot, and always ready to accommodate your specific requirements, from type of lure, to choice of brew. Simply bring your tidal-water angling license , food and refreshments, and we’ll take of the rest. We recommend a minimum of 3 licenses be available before hitting the water (the skipper will ask for printed copies before departure).  If you don't have a license, you can purchase and print a license via https://www-ops2.pac.dfo-mpo.gc.ca/nrls-sndpp/index-eng.cfm, for about $6 per license. Please note that while our Vancouver fishing trips are usually catch and release, stamps will be required for any fish you would like to keep. We can also arrange cleaning and bagging of your catch for transport upon request.

General Information

Q, What kind of boat, how big, and do you have pictures?
A. We can do a maximum of 28 people on our 40ft charter specific vessel. Additional information on the size of the boat and layout is found in the About Us section along with pictures.

Q. What are your rates?
A. This year's boat charter rates can be found on our booking page. Minimum bookings are 3 hours in length to ensure you have time to enjoy the sights and scenery of the downtown Vancouver waterfront. Don't forget the crew does also work for tips.

Q. Where is the boat located?
A. It is centrally located in Downtown Vancouver at the Plaza of Nations Marina, behind the Edgewater Casino. See our boat location map for the exact location of the boat, directions, and nearest transit options.  For after your charter, continue the party downtown as we are within minutes of Vancouver’s vibrant nightlife.

Q. What about food and drink? What can we bring?
A. Bring your own snacks and drinks (alcoholic beverages are acceptable, but only in cans, and for those drinking responsibly). We do have a BBQ on board to cook up a few smokies. Of course, we can also arrange a caterer for you. Email us today for menus and recommendations.

More questions on parking, facilities on board and what to bring?  Try our FAQ's page.  Check out the Photo Gallery to view some of the spectacular sites that you can expect to experience with our charters.

Boat Cruises & Fishing Trips in Vancouver

We charter the Golden Eagle IV every year in August to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday. It is such a treat to spend time with good friends and enjoy the beauty of our West Coast. It is truly the highlight of my summer.
